Attention all parents! This section is one of the most invaluable resources of the neighborhood website! Castle Hills is served by the Lewisville ISD. The ISD web site is http://www.lisd.net. Castle Hills Elementary School, http://www.lisd.net/schools/castlehills/index.html, is in the center of the neighborhood, on Holy Grail at Queen Guinevere. Another elementary school is in the works on Parker Road (FM544) to serve the additional homes and families moving into the neighborhood. Killian Middle School, http://www.lisd.net/schools/killian, opened recently to serve the area. Hebron High, http://hhs.lisd.net, serves the kids in 9th-12th grade. Castle Hills has something unique to offer residents. There is an Educational Trust Fund that helps to supplement the schools where the neighborhood kids attend, public and private. The Fund gives schools money for teacher incentives, technology upgrades, etc, and allows for up to $10,000 college expense reimbursement per child over a 5 year period. GreatSchools.net is a valuable national provider of school information and is a non-profit entity. Simply click on 'School Information' or you may search all schools in the area by entering the city and state in which you reside from the search feature of GreatSchools.net. This section will display contact information, test score data and socioeconomic information for your school. You can also learn of different ways to get involved in your child’s education! You will find 'Parent Resources' to be a valuable tool to help you help your child get the most out of their education. Staying involved is the key! Parents, teachers and administrators may also post information about activities, meetings or other events happening at their schools through GreatSchools.net, as well as directly on your neighborhood site by using the 'Submit Local Schools' link below. Come back often to learn about education in the local community! |
